John Waldron - Managing Director
Having more than 20 years experience in the Travel & Tourism Industry, John was a founding Director of Irish Welcome Tours in 1989. Prior to that he was Managing Director of Best Western Hotels Ireland and now is also Managing Director of Premier Guesthouses of Ireland and Irish Cottage Holiday Homes.

Kevin O'Meara - Financial Controller
Kevin has more than 20 years experience in the finance function of service/tourism businesses both in Ireland and the U.K. He joined Irish Welcome Tours as Financial Controller in 2000 and leads a professional finance team dedicated to giving quality service to our customers and suppliers.

Alison Groves - Contracting Director
Following her honours degree in French & German from Dublin's Trinity College, Alison worked for a short time as a teacher before entering the world of tourism where she has been now for over 20 years. In 1995 she joined Irish Welcome Tours and has full responsibility for the contracting function within the company.

Bernadette O'Carroll - European Sales Director
Bernadette has over 30 years experience in the Travel & Tourism Industry holding a Diploma in French Civilisation from the Sorbonne followed by several years working in Europe after which she returned to Ireland and managed the Dublin office for an incoming Tour Operator for a number of years. Bernadette joined Irish Welcome Tours in 1994 and as Sales Director for the past 8 years, she and her team of 3 are responsible for the Sales function and Business Development within the organisation.

Tim McStay - Director of Incentives
Tim has 16 years experience in the Travel & Tourism Industry and is a former President of ITOA, Board member of St. Patricks Festival and SITE member. Responsible for the Incentive division of Irish Welcome Tours including overseas Sales, Business Development and Promotions.

Liz Aungier - Reservations Manager
Liz has worked in the Tourism Industry for the past 18 years commencing her career as a receptionist and progressing to Reservations Management positions in various Hotels in Dublin prior to moving on to manage two central reservations offices for Hotel groups. Liz is a keen traveler and has also been involved in volunteering for the past five years and sits on the Eastern Region Committee of Special Olympics Ireland.

Michele Kane - Quotations Manager
Michele has been with the company since 2002, and has a total of 12 years experience in the Tourism Industry in Ireland.  She holds a degree in business studies, and has traveled extensively through Europe and Africa. Together with her team of Quotation Executives, she is responsible for all group quotations, including ad-hoc, tour series, custom and special interest.

Tara Fusco - Group Operations Manager
Tara is a graduate of University College Dublin, with a Masters Degree in Geography. Tara has over 12 years experience in the Tourism Industry and together with a team of 9 Group Account Handlers, is responsible for the operation of all our group tour business. Tara has been an International Table Tennis player for over 14 years but has recently started focusing more on coaching the national team.

Emer Kelly - eCommerce Manager
Emer joined the company in 2006 and has 10 years experience within the broad Tourism Industry and heads up the eCommerce Department in the company. Emer holds a Degree in Business Studies and Tourism, a Diploma in Marketing and is responsible for the online branding and marketing of our company websites.

Dermot O'Neill - Sales Manager
Dermot joined Irish Welcome Tours in 2000 and has more than 7 years experience within the Travel & Tourism Industry. He holds a Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management and is in his final year of a Degree in Marketing with the Marketing Institute of Ireland. Dermot is charged with the Sales, Marketing and Business Development of the English Speaking Markets for the company and is a keen Gaelic Footballer and Soccer fan, while also enjoying traveling the world and seeing new places and cultures.

Angelo Gillert - Sales Manager
Angelo has over 6 years experience working in the tourism industry. He holds a Diploma in Travel Management from the German Chamber of Commerce and is currently undertaking further studies to finish a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies. Angelo joined Irish Welcome Tours in 2007 and has responsiblity for Sales and Business Development in German-speaking markets, along with new and developing markets. Angelo enjoys travelling around Ireland and Europe in his spare time and spent his last holiday on the islands of Malta and Gozo.
