The first itinerary takes you to the 6th century monastic settlement at Glendalough in the most picturesque setting. Travel through Co. Wicklow via the Blessington Lakes and spend time investigating the vales of Avoca.

An alternative itinerary combines two of the most famous areas of Co. Wicklow. The beautiful town of Avoca originally inspired Thomas Moore’s ‘The Meeting of the Waters’, and more recently the location of Ballykissangel – a popular Irish TV programme. After a chance to visit the handweavers, head for Powerscourt, an estate dating back to 1300, with a majestic house set in extensive gardens. Further details and operating times available.

Audio Walking Tours of Dublin

Explore Dublin at your own pace, minimum of 3 hours. Armed with an audio unit (different languages available) and a map, the history and culture of Dublin is fully explained as you browse around Trinity College, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and Merrion Square to name but a few. Further details and operating times available.

Musical Pub Crawl of Dublin

The Traditional Irish Musical Pub Crawl is led by two professional musicians who perform tunes and songs while telling the story of Irish Music and its influences on contemporary world music. The Musical Pub Crawl visits famous pubs and bars in the Temple Bar areas; all pubs are privately booked, with private bar and in close proximity to each other. Further details and operating times available.

The Book of Kells, Trinity College, Dublin

The Book of Kells contains a lavishly decorated copy, in Latin, of the four gospels which dates back to the early 9th century. This major exhibition, which features large-scale details from the manuscripts, not only explains the background of the Book of Kells but also includes related manuscripts such as the Book of Armagh, the Book of Durrow, the Book of Mulling and the Book of Dimma. Of great interest is the main chamber of the Old Library called the Long Room. At 65 metres long, it contains 200,000 of the Library’s oldest books in oak bookcases.
